my first journal page

Here I go, got my page ready and some new 15's came the other day. The picture I took, laying on the ground with my tripod. I painted the muslin, the page is 4 x 6.

I harvested a bushel of spinach yesterday. We have been eating turnips, radishes, beets and peas. The strawberries are to die for!!!!!

Oh cool, of course you doing a garden themed journal is the perfect choice.. I am so envious of your vege garden, here I am at the beach & I have to cover some of my plants at night because it's still too cold for them!

Judi: What type of paint are you using for your poppy? It looks like your next step on the painting is adding darker values in all the colors. I still do not have a blog page up. I do not even know if I would ever respond to people I do not know. Anyway, I enjoyed seeing your strawberries. We have in our garden now and are eatting most: asparagus, lettuce, onions, radishes, potatoes, brocolli, cucumbers. Our tomatoes have small ones. I still need to figure out how to get my digital images reduced in resolution to forward to you. As I told you I am out in the country and still on dail up. Later when I teach summer school in July I can do it from my campus office since it is broad band.
I look forward to seeing Tanya, Joe and the kids next week. I Have two boxes of art supplies to work with them. Miss you and Mike. Love, Patt

patt, the paints are luminare fabric paints. i watered them down to paint the fabric. you have to heat set them with an iron. i screenpainted my work shirts with them. the rest of the shading will be done with the beads, hopefully, that is the plan.
look forward to seeing pics, i love you paintings, always have.

i miss you too! love and hugs

Wow! There are so many ways to make a page. Enjoy your strawberries - even when I visited my daughter in CA last month no one would eat the strawberries for sale by the roadside due to pesticide use. They have always tasted so good but now we have been made aware of how bad they are for us. So eat up for all of us who are stuck with store produce. Can't wait to see this page done and to see what you do next.
