Slow but sure

Boy, it has been a week! I still managed to make progress despite a very busy week at work, made four shirts for Mike and myself, boat cushions and the 100 degree weather has me running in the garden. It is by far the most bead embroidering I have ever done. I tend to bunch my beads, but in this case I will use it for texture......lol. I have figured it out and hope to do better on July's, which I picked up a very nice piece of brocade for....yummy. I have this week off and have many things planned. I work 7 weeks on and take the 8th week off all through the year. It keeps me caught up on projects and grounded for work. So far I am very happy with the way my page is coming, the flower will be a bugger, but I think if I take my time it will be fine.

The dragon fly is done in brick stitch and then attached to ultra suede. I put it on the back of a riding vest Mike got me. I will post a pick of the completed vest next time.

Our little froggy friend at the end of a day fishing, thought he was just too cute. He really did want his picture taken and posed quite nicely.

Have a great day

Hot here too! Hard to get much done after lunch even. I like the poppy so much I can't even tell you. I also liked the frog although I had to make him large to see him. He is cute.

Hey, the lower part of your poppy is coming out great. I'll be watching your progress and the shading of the blossom.
I also love poppys. They mean ***summer***.

Have a nice day

lol, someone had better watch, if it gets out of hand I hope someone will let me know. Did you see the Danish Flag poppy in the previous post? A stunning speciman.

I love your June page Judi. I love the frog he's cute. I have never seen a Danish flag poppy. They are quite different to the poppies we have here in Scotland.

Well done on your catch. I will return to see your progress.

Gorgeous color choices, and like tally, poppies mean summer to me, too.

Thank you Morwyn. I checked your Flicker site and omgosh, what beauties you have there. Of course the fish cuff caught my eye. Next come the dahlias, one of my favorite flowers.
